Our Mission
A New Mission for Our Veterans at the End of a Leash. Not the End of a Gun.
Heart of the League
The K9 Warrior League is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preventing Veteran suicide and healing the "invisible wounds" of our nation's heroes. We believe that for a warrior, the best therapy isn't found in a chair—it’s found in action, movement, and the unbreakable bond with a dog.
From our 6-acre Field Lab in Saint Hedwig, TX, we provide Veterans and first responders with a safe "platoon" environment where they can rediscover their purpose through adaptive canine sports and professional vocational training.
Why We Are Here
When a Veteran or first responder returns home, the transition can lead to isolation, anxiety, and a loss of identity. Traditional models of help often miss the most important element of a warrior’s life: The Mission. At the K9 Warrior League, we replace isolation with Community, anxiety with Focus, and a lost identity with a New Vocation. We don't just provide a dog; we provide a path forward.
Adaptive Sports & Recreation (No Sidelines)
Physical limitations should never be a disqualification. Using grant-funded, all-terrain mobility scooters and our FKC-Sanctioned "No-Weave" safety rules, we ensure every Veteran can compete. Whether it’s a 100-yard sprint or Canine Frisbee Baseball, we get you out of the house and back into the game.
Therapeutic Reintegration (The Platoon Culture)
Isolation is the enemy. The League offers a "squad" environment where Veterans and their dogs work together to overcome PTSD. Through our "Slow One" Philosophy, we ensure that every team—no matter their starting point—has a customized, safe, and dignified route to the Hall of Fame.
Vocational Excellence (The Master Trainer Pipeline)
We turn your passion into a profession. Our 24-Month Legacy Trainer Apprenticeship prepares Veterans for careers as Master Canine Instructors. We aren’t just training dogs; we are building the next generation of industry leaders, proving that healing leads to a professional future.

The Founder’s Promise
There Are No Bad Dogs
"I realized that Veterans didn't just need a dog to sit beside them; they needed a dog to move with them. We built this complex to prove that no matter how 'broken' you feel, there is a place for you on our track." — Don Kreitner, Founder & Disabled USAF Veteran ( Dad )
